Is a worldviolinist with a charismatic stage presence and highly esteemed for her expressivity and fierry improvisations. She reaches the public right in the heart with her personal interpretations and the emotional sound of her wonderful violin. Born in The Netherlands, she was raised with classical music. During her study musicology at the University and the Conservatory for classsical violin, her interest in traditional folkmusic and worldmusic blossomed into a professional level. Naftali specialised in the music of Eastern Europe, Greek music & Turkish (classical) music as well as Jewish and Portuguese music.
In RL she is a much sought-after teacher, performer and recording-artist among worldmusic and mainstream popacts in The Netherlands and has toured extensively throughout Europe. In RL Naf is playing in different national and international ensembles.
In Sl Naf dreams to bring together her (rl & sl) music collegues as much as possible or stream rl concerts directly into sl, in the future . To serve that aim she recently started T.W.M.centre (Toroks World Music ) on Broadway live Island. Besides being general infocentre , TWM centre offers place to different SL/RL organisations in connection with folk & traditional music. (FolkLab, FolkFactory, Woodstock, Tonica ). Besides this centre , Naf owns 3 other dependances inworld : Domus Artis (concerthall on Broadway L south), Mexana Monica (EastEuropean music taverna) and Casa Musica (oriental department in Al Andalus) . The whole idea is still in development and open for co-operation in different fields.
